Cowboys’ Defense Rock Solid in Preseason Win Over Chargers

For the third straight preseason game, the Cowboys’ first-team defense looked in mid-season form. The starting unit did not shut out the Chargers’ first offense, but they definitely held their own through nearly the entire first half. Rookies, seasoned veterans, and new acquisitions alike all showed why they are a part of the franchise in a 16-14 Dallas win on Saturday. The Cowboys’ defense created turnovers, recorded sacks, and showed resilience in the red zone; all big reasons why Dallas is ranked in top five units in the league.
