Cowboys 4th on Rant Sports First NFL Power Rankings

The mother site to The Cowboys Central, www.RantSports.com, released its very first NFL Power Rankings yesterday. Three of Rant Sports’ writers are responsible for the list, myself included. The list is a combination of votes from the three of us, which include all 32 NFL teams just before Week 1 kicks off on Thursday night. Dallas landed at No. 4 on that combined list, one spot higher than I had them on my individual rankings. Of course, the Cowboys were quite a bit higher than any other team in the NFC East, but the main number is their overal place in the conference. The Cowboys fall in behind the Packers and Saints, respectively, and for good reason. Green Bay beat Dallas last season and New Orleans won the Super Bowl.
