Ravens take advantage of 10 penalties by Jets, lead 7-6 at halftime

After one half of play, the Baltimore Ravens lead the New York Jets 7-6 in what has been an intense defensive battle between two playoff contenders in the AFC. The Ravens were able to take advantage of a Jets team that recorded 10 penalties in the first half for a total of 100 yards. On Baltimore’s final drive right before halftime, T.J. Houshmandzadeh—who just signed with the Ravens last week after being released from the Seattle Seahawks—drew two key pass interference calls on New York’s defense which eventually led to a one-yard touchdown run with six seconds left in the half. As for Joe Flacco, he’s looked shaky so far, completing 10 of 18 passes for 108 yards and two turnovers—including a fumble on the Ravens’ first offensive play of the season which led to a Jets...
