Worse Than Expected- How the Dream of the Undefeated Season Came Crashing Down

The scene at RayJay on Sunday, just kidding, it sure felt like it though. Ok so no one was expecting an unbeaten season, but the manner in which the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers was unexpected as well. The Bucs offense doesn’t show up in highlight packages discussing the game; with good reason. The Bucs didn’t do anything particularly remarkable. The irony is, neither did the Steelers, which brings me to what I saw on Sunday: Little things snowball quickly, if you’re not careful- The Bucs looked good after the Aqib Talib interception. They looked solid for a few more drives. Then Charlie Batch and his skinny goatee launched a poorly thrown (and poorly defended) pass behind safety Cody Grimm and into the arms of Mike Wallace for a touchdown. From their...
