Thoughts on Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Mike Martz

Mike Martz has been a popular guy these days. The Chicago Bears offense is clicking and Martz has been the man pulling the strings. In last Monday night’s win over the Green Bay Packers, Martz’s final drive exploited weaknesses on the Packers and set the Chicago Bears up to win the game. Despite running arguably the best offense of all-time…the Greatest Show on Turfwhen he was the coordinator and eventually head coach of the St. Louis Rams, Martz has always struggled to stay in once place (including with current Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli in Detroit). Why is it that a guy that has this much talent as a coordinator always looking for work? My guess is that Martz can rub people within an organization the wrong way.
