Jrlombardi shares public concerns about Packers direction under GM Thompson. Commentary: General Manager Ted Thompson is on the hot seat. The biggest complaints against Thompson is that although he has built a solid foundation for the Packers, when it comes to pushing his team over the top as a true Super Bowl contender, he has failed to finish the job. The latest example surrounds Marshawn Lynch who was traded by Buffalo to Seattle on Tuesday. Thompson was talking with the Bills about trading for Lynch, but he was outbid by Seahawks. Why didn’t Thompson throw caution to the wind and go out and aggressively acquire a much-needed running back? You can bet former Packers GM Ron Wolf would have made that trade happen.
