He’s coming back, Vincent Jackson is returning to the San Diego Chargers this month. Vincent Jackson has been sitting out over a contract dispute and now will report to the San Diego Chargers on October 31st according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN. The decision of Jackson’s return was made so that at the conclusion of this season, Jackson can become a free agent. The decision to sit out was costly for Jackson but perhaps costlier for the Chargers. Sure, San Diego will now have his services for the final six games of the season at a vastly reduced salary, however the only way San Diego can keep the receiver would be to place a franchise tag on him for the 2011 season, otherwise Jackson would be free to sign with another team.
