Matt Moore and David Gettis help Panthers pick up first win of 2010 over 49ers

It took until Week 7, but the Carolina Panthers finally picked up their first victory of the 2010 season after a thrilling 23-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers—mainly thanks to the play of Matt Moore and David Gettis. After being benched for three games, Moore earned the starting job back from Jimmy Clausen and shed a new light for a Panthers’ offense that entered Sunday averaging a league-low 10.4 points per game. Moore completed 28 of 41 passes for 308 yards with two touchdowns—both of which were thrown to Gettis. The rookie out of Baylor had a breakout performance against San Francisco—catching eight passes for 125 yards to go along with his pair of touchdowns.
