Stafford ready to go, Detroit Lions make some moves

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford is ready to go this weekend against the Washington Redskins. Coming off a shoulder separation, Stafford tells reporters that he feels ready to go, doesn’t think his lack of activity will cause him to be rusty and thinks acclimating to the speed of the game won’t be a problem. On Wednesday, in a move that was not unexpected, the Detroit Lions placed LB Zack Follett on the injured reserve list, ending his 2010 NFL season. Follett suffered a neck injury when he had a helmet to helmet collision in the Detroit Lions game against the New York Giants. Follett had to be removed from the field after being stabilized on a backboard.
