5 Kansas City Chiefs Players That Will Shine In Week 2
The Kansas City Chiefs were one of the worst teams in the league last year at 2-14. One game into this year's campaign, the Chiefs already have half of their win total from last year. New head coach Andy Reid and new QB Alex Smith have helped breathed new life into the beleaguered franchise.
The Chiefs are a popular "sleeper" pick amongst the masses, so it was good thing they laid the smack down on the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-2. Of course, the Jaguars could potentially be the worst team in league, but good teams are supposed to beat up bottom feeders like the Jaguars. This Sunday will provide a great litmus test for the Chiefs as they host the Dallas Cowboys at Arrowhead Stadium. With a newfound excitement surrounding this Chiefs team, Arrowhead should be rocking. Can the Chiefs go 2-0 by beating a pretty good Cowboys team? I think so.
The Cowboys are coming off an emotional win against the New York Giants, in which they finally defeated them at Jerry World. How up can they be for this non-conference road game after that? Not very much in my humble opinion. This has all the signs of a Tony Romo meltdown game. Needless to say, the Cowboys offensive line will have a tough task ahead of them in trying to handle the Chiefs pass rush.
This Sunday is the time for the Chiefs to make a statement if they hope to get back into playoff contention this year. The following are the five players I expect to help make that happen.

Dwayne Bowe
Dwayne Bowe didn’t do much in the Jacksonville game. Of course, once the Chiefs scored their first touchdown, they might have knew then that would be enough to beat the Jags. The Cowboys have good corners in Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne, so call it a gut feeling for Bowe.
Dontari Poe
This dude has been killing it lately. I’m not sure if Cowboys rookie Center Travis Frederick has had his welcome to the NFL moment yet, but Dontari Poe could certainly make that happen. They’ll be coming at you from all sides, Romo.
