San Francisco 49ers Falling Apart; Frank Gore, Jim Harbaugh Have Spat

Jim Harbaugh

It didn’t take long for the San Francisco 49ers‘ Week 3 loss to start some trouble in the 49ers’ locker room. The Indianapolis Colts flat out embarrassed the hometown 49ers on Sunday and running back Frank Gore didn’t take too kindly to the butt-kicking. In fact, Gore was so irate that he and Jim Harbaugh reportedly got into quite the spat after the game.

Reports say that Gore was most upset about his lack of touched — 13 — and had some “choice words” for Harabaugh. Obviously, this isn’t the first time that a running back has complained about something to his head coach, yet it’s newsworthy considering San Francisco won the NFC last season and is off to such a horrid start.

Now, the issue at hand is also one to monitor from here on out, because those close with the 49ers have spoke about this team not running the ball as much as they have in years previous. When Gore rushes for 82 yards and only get 11 carries, you begin to think if the ex-NFL quarterback in Harbaugh is starting to come to life.

Not to mention, the loss of Vernon Davis is a big one for quarterback Colin Kaepernick, so it would have only made sense for the 49ers to run the ball a little bit more against a less-than stellar Colts run defense. Stay tuned to see if Gore actually asked Harbaugh “What’s your deal, man?”

The decisions that this organization are making are unbelievably bad right now. If Aldon Smith was going to get future treatment, the team could have sat him and used his decision to motivate them to come together as a team and rally. Instead the 49ers decided to play him and the whole team payed the price. They looked like a team without a soul out there against the Colts. Combine that with the fact that Vernon Davis was hurt and they didn’t continue to use the running game when they clearly could have been successful, makes you wonder? I’m starting to question for the first time the leadership of York, Harbaugh and Baalke. Not only is Kaepernick showing his age but so is Jed York now. 49ers are in trouble if they lose to the Rams.
