At 31-years-old, Roddy White‘s “Iron Man” status may finally face a stiff challenge as the Atlanta Falcons are genuinely concerned that he may miss at least one game due to a left hamstring injury he suffered this past Monday against the New York Jets.
According to ESPN, people within the Falcons’ organization are heavily worried that White’s latest hamstring injury could cause him to not only miss one game, but miss multiple games in what has been an injury-ravaged season for the Falcons. White has never missed a single game in his career, but that impressive streak may come to an end.

On the bright side however, White does have time to recover before their next game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as the Falcons are currently on their bye this weekend. With fellow Pro Bowler Julio Jones out for the year with a foot injury, this would be a huge blow to a Falcons team trying to regroup and make a fresh start after their bye.
Through five games, White has clearly been limited because of his injuries, as he looks stiff and immobile on the slant routes. He has recorded only 14 receptions for 129 yards and zero touchdowns, which is by far not the type of stats we have been accustomed to seeing when talking about one of the best receivers in the game.
The Falcons have been preparing as they signed Brian Robiskie to add some depth to the wide receiver position.
If White is unable to go in Week 7, the Falcons will feature a lineup for the first time that will not have neither White or Jones at the wide receivers’ position. For Matt Ryan and the Falcons’ passing game, they are hoping that White can indeed play and be healthy for the first time this year.
With the Falcons down to their last Pro Bowl receiver, the coaching staff has every right to be concerned and have their fingers crossed that White’s latest injury it nothing too serious.
