The Buffalo Bills can’t catch a break as of late. First, their hand-picked franchise quarterback, EJ Manuel, went down with a bad knee sprain. Then his replacement, Thad Lewis, suffered a foot injury in his team debut. With Lewis’ status still unknown for Sunday, the team had to make another move. They signed free agent Matt Flynn on Monday and fans are hoping like heck that he doesn’t take the field Sunday. But at this time, Flynn seems likely to be the one behind center.
So naturally, one name keeps getting linked to the Bills because of their difficulties at the QB position – Tim Tebow. That’s right, the unemployed former punt protector keeps getting linked to Buffalo. From what I can tell, it’s merely internet speculation at this point. For the Bills’ sake, I hope it stays that way.

Buffalo would have absolutely nothing to gain by bringing in the former college star. He might be able to rally them to a victory or two, but the reality is that the Bills are Manuel’s team. He’s going to be the man once he gets back and he’s going to be the man for the next couple of years, at least.
Bringing in Tebow would do nothing but complicate things. The franchise doesn’t need its fans rooting for a popular QB, over one who’s actually capable of leading a franchise over the long haul.
If I had to put a percentage on it, I’d say there’s about a .5 percent chance Tebow signs with the Bills in 2013.
