Oh, when the Saints go marching into the Louisiana Superdome, they typically win. When the Saints go marching out of town, they lose.
The Saints are 3-9 in their last 12 road games. They're 0-8 in their last -- well, you get the picture.

Last year, the Saints blew out the Cowboys 49-17 in a game where Rob Ryan's defense gave up an NFL-record 40 first downs. This year, the Saints were dismantled 38-17 in a game where the Rob Ryan's defense gave up 190 rushing yards.
It looks like the scene changed but the scheme stayed the same.

The winning percentage of teams that win the turnover battle hovers somewhere around the 80 percent mark. The Saints lost that battle on Sunday night, and in doing so, they added themselves to a list of NFL teams that snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, only to gift it right back to their opponents.

Thanks to Rob Ryan, the Saints' defense was abysmal on Sunday night. DeMarco Murray made a mockery of the entire unit -- specifically Jairus Byrd -- and Tony Romo played Ryan's defense like a fiddle in the Austrian Opera to the tune of three TDs -- all against a defensive back blitz.

If there's a quarterback in the NFL who can will their team to win despite turnovers, bad coaching, horrible defense and apparently cursed means of travel, it's Drew Brees. He was unable to do it this time, but he completed 32-of-44 passes for 340 yards, two TDs and one pick, so it's not like he wasn't trying.
Next up, Brees and Co. welcome the Steel City slaying Buccaneers to Who Dat Nation. Expect the Saints to rebound nicely.
