San Francisco 49ers Rumors: Jim Harbaugh Out In 2015
The rumor mill has been churning quite loudly about San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh possibly being ousted, and it has to be tough being asked about your future when you are just trying to live in the present.
He has rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way in his years as an NFL player and skipper, however, Harbaugh usually wins as well, and that fact cannot be ignored in his defense.
Wins tend to be the bottom line in football.
There was an excellent piece written by Seth Wickersham recently about Harbaugh’s methods and madness on ESPN, and it is recommended to anyone wanting a deeper look into the man’s mindset and former athletes trying to redefine themselves. You can tell that he used to be a quarterback by the way he threw a football around with the reporter.
The 49ers’ CEO and acting owner offered public support for his employee on Twitter before their latest win, however, it must be noted that next season was not mentioned at all in said tweet.
Believe me though, it is tough to get your point across in only 140 characters.
Some have even claimed the coach would be fired after a potential Super Bowl victory this season. That would, admittedly, be a pretty tough sell to their fanbase, who have been hungry for another ring ever since the days of Jerry Rice and Steve Young.
Harbaugh could be down and out in 2015, but if the ax is lowered on him, he should have plenty of job offers at the pro and college level.
