Week 6 Matchup: Indianapolis Colts (3-2) vs. Houston Texans (3-2)
TV Schedule: Thursday, Oct. 9, 8:25 p.m. ET, CBS/NFL
Stadium: NRG Stadium
Line: Indianapolis (-3)
The Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts may be tied at the top of the AFC South, but it is the Colts who have won three games in a row. Not to mention, Indy is coming off of a big win over the Baltimore Ravens.
The Texans are coming off of a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, a contest that went to overtime. Although the team started the season off with two victories in a row, it has been 1-2 ever since then.
Although these teams have the same records and the line isn’t heavily in the Colts’ favor, you have to like the way this Indianapolis team has been playing. Plus, it has one of the best QBs in the game in Andrew Luck. Call me crazy, but having a solid quarterback goes a long way in the NFL.
For what it’s worth, RB Arian Foster is coming off of a big game — rushed for 157 yards and two scores against Dallas. Another performance like that against Indianapolis would clearly go a long way.
I am anticipating another 300-yard performance out of Luck, which seems to be his thing this year (four 300-yard performances in 2014). The Colts may be traveling on the road in this one, but they are one of the hottest teams in the NFL, and they will keep that streak going at NRG Stadium against the Texans.
PREDICTION: Colts 25, Texans 20
