Week 6 Matchup: Carolina Panthers (3-2) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (3-1)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 12, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: Paul Brown Stadium
Line: Cincinnati (-7)
The Cincinnati Bengals may have been one of the best teams in the NFL entering Week 5, but that did not stop the New England Patriots from blowing them out, 43-17. Apparently, their bye in Week 4 hurt them more than anything. The Bengals will try and rebound against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6.
The Panthers were on a two-game losing streak entering Week 5, but ended that streak with a victory over the Chicago Bears.
Both teams enter this week at the top of their division. Win or lose, both teams will stay at the top of their division, whether if they are tied or have the outright lead.
I have to give the edge to Cincinnati, though. Although the Bengals were crushed by the Patriots, they were definitely a top team in the NFL entering that game — they still are.
Not to mention, Cincy has given up very few points this year, and has a solid offense to go along with that stingy D.
In the end, the Bengals will be celebrating a victory at Paul Brown Stadium, and they will also rock one of the best records in the NFL (currently many one-loss teams). As for the Panthers, they still have some work to do, but still could end up making the playoffs (they are at the top of their division, after all).
PREDICTION: Panthers 27, Cincinnati 30
