Pegula Family Approved As New Owners Great For Buffalo Bills
With all the talk about who was going to own the Buffalo Bills, it appears the franchise is in good hands with Terry and Kim Pegula being officially approved by all 31 other NFL owners at the owners meeting in New York Wednesday morning.
Musician Jon Bon Jovi and billionaire Donald Trump were among other ownership groups that submitted a bid to own the Bills. Once Pegula, who owns the Buffalo Sabres, put his name in for consideration, it appeared the Wilson family and the people of Buffalo knew exactly whom the right man for the job would be.
Pegula made his money in the natural gas industry. His success has given him a net worth of more than $3.5 billion. He has used his money to invest in interests in the city of Buffalo. He also is determined to put the city on the map by improving the development of the downtown area. Essentially, Pegula wants to see Buffalo shine, which is why him and his wife becoming the new owners of the Bills is about as good as it could get for the fans and members of the organization. Pegula truly cares about the fans of the Bills and Sabres.
Even though Terry is the man everyone is talking about, his wife Kim will be playing a big role with the Bills. In fact, it is said that she will be working with team president Russ Brandon in some form of high-executive position.
Since Terry and Kim were approved as the new owners, they will get to vote in all other league meetings that occur throughout the day on Wednesday.
