Week 6 Matchup: Baltimore Ravens (3-2) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-4)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 12, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Raymond James Stadium
Line: Baltimore (-3.5)
The Baltimore Ravens are coming off of a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. It was only by seven points, but a loss is a loss.
As for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they almost took out the New Orleans Saints at home, which doesn’t happen often. The game went into overtime, but, once again, a loss is a loss.
With that said, one of the two teams will get back on track in Week 6. I am predicting that team to be the Ravens, and I am sure I am not alone. Although QB Joe Flacco didn’t have his best game ever against the Colts, he should find more success against the Buccaneers, who are giving up 292.2 passing yards per game.
Baltimore is giving up a good amount of yards in that department as well, but the Buccaneers’ QBs haven’t necessarily been the best in the NFL in 2014. It doesn’t help that the running game is only averaging 90.4 yards per game.
In the end, this contest may be a home game for the Buccaneers, but they have a good amount of issues, while Baltimore could find itself in the playoffs this year.
The Ravens come away with the victory, but it could be closer than some people may think. That is if the Buccaneers’ running game, or offense in general, can move the chains and score some points.
PREDICTION: Ravens 25, Buccaneers 17
