Week 6 Matchup: San Francisco 49ers (3-2) vs. St. Louis Rams (1-3)
TV Schedule: Monday, Oct. 13, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Stadium: Edward Jones Dome
Line: San Francisco (-3.5)
Well, this isn’t exactly the most exciting Monday Night Football matchup, but it is still two divisional opponents going at it. Plus, it’s football.
After dropping two straight, the 49ers have managed to win two in a row. St. Louis hasn’t been as fortunate, as it has lost two in a row. However, during that span, the Rams only lost to Dallas by three and to Philadelphia by six.
Let’s just cut to the chase: San Fran is going to come away with the victory. It is allowing the fourth fewest passing yards per game and fifth fewest rushing yards per game. With that said, St. Louis is allowing the fewest passing yards per game, and will be playing at home.
The 49ers are a playoff team and the Rams simply are not. Their hopes of making the playoffs went down the drain before the season even started. Now that I said that, watch St. Louis blow out San Francisco on MNF.
The rumors about Jim Harbaugh have flooded the scene, but the team has continued to win. It is beyond me why the 49ers organization wouldn’t want a winning coach like Harbaugh, but I am just going to blame this one on “politics” and leave it as a rumor.
Anyways, these two teams will be seeing quite a bit of each other as they not only play this Monday, but a few weeks from now as well; Nov. 2 to be exact.
PREDICTION: Rams 21, 49ers 27
