Detroit Lions Ban Man With Laser Pointer Indefinitely After He Confesses on Twitter

Buffalo Bills v Detroit Lions

Laser pointers are banned from professional sporting events for a reason, which is why Marko Beslach should not be surprised why the Detroit Lions banned him from games indefinitely after he shinned a laser into the eyes of Buffalo Bills quarterback Kyle Orton last Sunday. The crazy part about it is Beslach would have gotten away with the cruel act if he simply did not brag about it on Twitter.

It is quite clear Beslach is not the brightest Crayon in the box.

Here is a good look at Orton getting the green laser pointer shined directly in his eyes during the fourth quarter of the Bills’ astonishing win over the Lions, courtesy of Twitter. Orton’s pass fell incomplete, in which he immediately went to the referee to complain about the incident, rightfully so.

I wish the Lions would have come right out and banned Beslach for life, which is what the Facebook group “NFL Ban Marko Beslach” wanted. I suppose banning him for “future games” has the possibility of forever, but I have a feeling somewhere down the road he will be welcomed back at Ford Field. Either way, at least he got a justified punishment, one that should prevent other people from taking part in the same behavior.

Orton and the Bills got the last laugh when they stunned the Detroit faithful on a late field goal. The feeling of the loss did not improve when former head coach (now Buffalo defensive coordinator) Jim Schwarz was carried off the field by his defensive players.
