Week 6 Matchup: New York Giants (3-2) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (4-1)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 12, 8:30 p.m. ET, NBC
Stadium: Lincoln Financial Field
Line: Philadelphia (-2.5)
Talking about a great matchup. In this week’s edition of Sunday Night Football, the New York Giants will take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles have home-field advantage, which very well could play a big part in this game, but the Giants are just as hot as anyone.
New York started the season off with two shaky losses, but has been 3-0 since then. In those three victories, the Giants have managed to outscore their opponents by the score of 105-51.
Handing the ball over to the Eagles, they won their first three of the season, lost to the San Francisco 49ers and then beat the St. Louis Rams.
Unfortunately for Philadelphia and RB LeSean McCoy, he isn’t having as productive of a season as he did in 2013. McCoy has yet to rush for 100 yards in 2014. As a result, among other things, Philly has the 23rd-ranked rushing offense in the NFL.
Although it is New York that is on the three-game winning streak, I have to give the edge to the home team. In no way do I think the Giants’ recent streak is a fluke, but it is going to end in this one.
With that in mind, we could be in for quite the high-scoring affair if both offenses come ready to play.
PREDICTION: Giants 30, Eagles 34
