Week 7 Matchup: San Francisco 49ers (4-2) vs. Denver Broncos (4-1)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 19, 8:30 p.m. ET, NBC
Stadium: Sports Authority Field at Mile High
Line: Denver (-6.5)
The Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers will meet up in what could be a sneak peak of this season’s Super Bowl. Both teams still have a long road to get to that point, but are both talented enough to make it that far.
San Fran enters this one on a three-game winning streak. Its biggest win during that streak has been against the Philadelphia Eagles. As usual, the keys to winning the game for the 49ers will be playing great defense and running the ball all over the opposing team. It may be hard to believe, but it is the Arizona Cardinals who are leading the NFC West, not the 49ers or Seattle Seahawks. Regardless, like any team taking on Peyton Manning, stopping the Broncos’ offense will be no easy task.
Denver enters this one on a two-game winning streak. For what it’s worth, the Broncos took out Arizona, who once again is at the top of the NFC West. As good as Denver’s offense is nowadays, the D coming up big and shutting down opposing teams is just extra gravy at this point. Sure, it is great for a team to rely on its defense, but watching Manning orchestrate this offense is truly a site to see.
The 49ers are more than capable of pulling out a win at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, but expect Manning, the Thomases and the rest of the team to be too much to handle.
PREDICTION: 49ers 23, Broncos 33
