Aaron Rodgers is one of the most talented players in the NFL. In his seventh season as a starter (10th overall), he has already established himself as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. What is even more remarkable is that he intends to play for another seven years. Fans may believe they know everything there is to know about Rodgers, but here are eight interesting facts that may be lesser known.

Rodgers has stated that his favorite book is the Bible. Studying film takes up a majority of his time, but once he feels he has done enough he will make an attempt to read the Bible every night before he goes to sleep.

Many know Rodgers as the man who had a lot of success at UC Berkeley with the California Golden Bears football team. However, what many still may not know is Rodgers actually began his career at Butte Community College after he failed to garner any Division I scholarships. The only reason he was recruited to Cal was because Jeff Tedford happened to see him play while recruiting a tight end on Rodgers’ team.

Of the 28 touchdown passes Rodgers tossed during the 2010 season, all of them but one gave the Packers the lead or extended a lead over the team’s opponent. The only touchdown that Rodgers threw that did not give Green Bay a lead is one that tied the game, which occurred with 56 seconds left in the contest against the Atlanta Falcons. Needless to say, it was clear 2010 was going to be a special season.

For all the winning Rodgers has done in his career, he has struggled mightily in overtime games. In fact, his career 0-5 overtime record, including one playoff contest, is something he would certainly like to improve. The most painful has to be the playoff loss to the Arizona Cardinals in 2009 when Rodgers fumbled the ball (after being face-masked) to lose the game.

Rodgers owns a plethora of NFL records. The most interesting of the bunch has to be his single-season passer rating (122.5), career passer rating (105.3), career touchdown to interception ratio (3.62) and most consecutive games without throwing multiple interceptions (41). There are several other interesting NFL records, but these certainly stand out as being the most remarkable.

Rodgers is involved in several community service projects, but his most mesmerizing has to be itsAaron. As co-creator and founder, he has the mission of "creating awareness for organizations and people who are changing the world." Rodgers also does a lot of work with the MACC fund, which is a charitable organization built on raising awareness for childhood cancer.
