Week 7 Matchup: Tennessee Titans (2-4) vs. Washington Redskins (1-5)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 19, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: FedEx Field
Line: Washington (-6)
The Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans may not be the best teams in the NFL, but one this is for sure: One of these teams is going to leave Week 7 with a victory, which both teams could use.
Washington enters this matchup on a four-game losing streak. Tennessee is entering this contest on a one-game winning streak. Lost four in a row prior to that.
Both of these teams have a lot they need to improve on. Although it is only Week 7, unless if something great happens, both will likely not be in the playoffs this year.
Although QB Kirk Cousins has his moments, he still has some work to do. Playing for a stacked team like the Denver Broncos would more than likely help him reduce the interceptions, but that is not going to happen.
It is not 100 percent Cousins’ fault on why the team is so bad this year. That is obvious, but he can’t have games where he throws three or more interceptions. That is going to doom his team every time.
Regardless, neither teams’ QB is taking the league by storm.
Although Tennessee is coming off of a win, I have to give the advantage to the home team. Washington is bound to win another game. It would certainly help if RB Alfred Morris stepped up in a big way. Maybe he will this game, and maybe Cousins will have his best game of the year.
PREDICTION: Titans 16, Redskins 25
