Week 7 Matchup: Minnesota Vikings (2-4) vs. Buffalo Bills (3-3)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 19, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: Ralph Wilson Stadium
Line: Buffalo (-5.5)
Neither team enters this contest with a burst of momentum. Buffalo is coming off of a loss to New England. Minnesota has dropped back-to-back contests. With that said, the Bills will be playing at home, and are sitting nicely in their division (second place).
The Vikings are last in their division, but then again, one loss/win separates them from the same record as the Bills.
Minnesota may have the 13th-ranked rushing offense in terms of yards, but Buffalo is ranked first in rushing defense (yards allowed per game). Therefore, it may be up to Teddy Bridgewater to lead his team to victory.
Considering the Vikings could only manage three points last week, that may be easier said than done. Not to mention, Minnesota is 30th in the NFL when it comes to passing yards per game.
Regardless, the Vikings look much different than the team that beat Atlanta in Week 4. After scoring 41 points in that contest, they have only managed to score 13 points since, which is a span of two games.
Bridgewater without a doubt gave the team a spark early on, but it seems like that spark is starting to die a bit. That doesn’t mean the young QB won’t have a successful career, it just means Minnesota is in trouble for this season. With that said, Bridgewater did sit out against Green Bay in Week 5.
PREDICTION: Vikings 20, Buffalo 24
