After seven weeks of the NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys are the league's best team; well, at least that's what their record says. After a tough matchup with the rival New York Giants, the Cowboys have to feel good about themselves as they will play another home game against the hapless Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football next week.

Jeremy Mincey doesn't have the gaudy stat numbers, but he has been terrific for the Cowboys in 2014. With DeMarcus Lawrence out for half the season, the Cowboys have gotten great production out of the veteran. Mincey has gone after quarterbacks and he seems to always find the ball at the end of each play. Mincey had two quarterback hits against the Giants.

When Morris Claiborne was put on injured reserve, many thought the Cowboys would suffer a bit, but it has been the exact opposite of that. Instead, Sterling Moore has flourished as the Cowboys' No. 3 cornerback. An argument could be made that Moore is outplaying million man Brandon Carr. Moore batted down passes left and right today, but the best one was a play in the end zone when he didn't let the taller Rueben Randle score on him.

After a decent performance last week against a top cornerback in Richard Sherman, Dez Bryant showed in Week 7 just why people believe he has the ability to do special things in this league. Bryant is most certainly a top-five receiver in the NFL, but in my opinion, he has surpassed Calvin Johnson as the best receiver in the league. Bryant is so fun to watch. His tenacity and swagger on the field just speaks to the rest of this offense.

Give the offensive line a ton of credit for this, but DeMarco Murray now holds a record in the NFL history books. Murray has ran the football for at least 100 yards in seven straight games. He is the only back in history to ever complete this feat. To show how good Murray has been, he already has 897 rushing yards on the season. He's currently on pace to run for over 2,000 yards. Murray has the talent to do that, but he will need to stay healthy.

In the end, the Cowboys won this game convincingly, but this game wasn't pretty in the beginning. Dallas did not have a ton of success in the first half on offense and that led to the defense having to be on the field for a ton of plays. Penalties and inconsistencies hurt this team in the early going, but they did something great football teams do, and that is fight adversity. The Cowboys did that in this game as they came away with the win.
