Week 8 Matchup: Oakland Raiders (0-6) vs. Cleveland Browns (3-3)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 26, 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: FirstEnergy Stadium
Line: Cleveland (-7)
While the Cleveland Browns enter this one looking to bounce back from a loss, the Oakland Raiders are still in search of their first victory of 2014.
Although the Browns have had a pretty successful season so far, they just took a step back with a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7. That was the Jaguars’ first victory of the season. Unfortunately for Cleveland, it is at the bottom of its division, and could really use a win to keep pace. However, it will get to play in front of its fans, where it has a record of 2-1 at home.
There is a chance that Oakland goes winless in 2014. The team has scored just 92 points, while giving up 158. Although I think the Raiders will eventually capture a win, who knows if it will come this weekend. The team needs to get better on both sides of the ball, but who knows if that will happen anytime soon.
While the Browns have shown quite a bit of promise this year, the exact opposite can be said about Oakland as a whole. It would be nice if the Raiders could rally on the road in Week 8, but Cleveland is clearly the better team coming in, and will avoid losing to winless teams in back-to-back weeks.
PREDICTION: Raiders 20, Browns 28
