Week 8 Matchup: Houston Texans (3-4) vs. Tennessee Titans (2-5)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 26, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: LP Field
Line: Houston (-2.5)
Entering Week 8 with losing records, both the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans could use a win.
Luckily for Tennessee, it will be playing at home. However, the line still isn’t in its favor. The Titans may have captured a win against Jacksonville in Week 6, but you don’t need me to tell you how bad the Jaguars have been this season. Tennessee then followed up that victory by losing to Washington in Week 7, who isn’t exactly a playoff contender.
Houston has now lost three in a row. To its credit, two of those losses came against Dallas and Indianapolis. Plus, Pittsburgh isn’t exactly the easiest team to beat at home. The team’s rushing attack ranks eighth in the NFL in yards per game, while the passing game comes in at 25th in YPG. If J.J. Watt could throw the ball, I am sure he would do that as well. He has certainly had quite the season so far, but Houston needs to win this one if it plans on keeping pace in the AFC South.
The same thing can be said about the Titans, but they more than likely will not be playing in the playoffs this year. The team needs work on both sides of the ball, and could struggle once again vs. the Texans.
PREDICTION: Texans 21, Titans 20
