The Cleveland Browns will host the Oakland Raiders Sunday afternoon. Both teams are dealing with injured players, but some of those players will be back in their respective team’s lineup just in time for kick off.
The Raiders have an excess of injured players, none of which fully participated in practice as of Wednesday. Khalif Barnes and Marcel Reece both have been out due to quad injuries and had limited participation in practice. Vincent Brown (hamstring), Austin Howard (neck) and Justin Tuck (knee) were all limited in practice as well.
David Ausberry (foot), Keith McGill (groin) and Carlos Rogers (knee) did not participate in practice at all. Rogers, however, was seen doing light work. LaMarr Woodley, who tore his bicep last Thursday, did not join his teammates in practice and could possibly be out for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, Woodley isn’t the only player who was badly hurt last Thursday. Usama Young will be out for the rest of the season courtesy of a torn ACL.
The Browns also have a surplus of injured players. Desmond Bryant, who is overcoming a wrist injury, fully participated in practice on Thursday and is expected to be in the Browns’ lineup on Sunday. Barkevious Mingo (shoulder) fully participated in practice as well, alongside teammate Joe Thomas. Both players are expected to play Sunday afternoon. K’Waun Williams was cleared for practice on Wednesday after suffering a concussion in Week 6′s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ahtyba Rubin is still limited in practice, as he may have to undergo surgery to repair his injured ankle. Billy Winn was also limited in practice, but seems to be recovering quickly after suffering a quad injury. Unfortunately, both Rodney Smith (hamstring) and Phil Taylor (knee) did not take part in Thursday’s practice and will miss Sunday’s game.
