Arizona Cardinals Prove They Are Legit In Win Over Philadelphia Eagles
After getting blown out by the Denver Broncos three weeks ago, many questioned the Arizona Cardinals and their ability to beat elite football teams. While many will say the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t elite, the fact of the matter is the Eagles were 5-1 coming into the game.
Coming off a bye week, the belief was that the Eagles would travel out west to Arizona and beat up on this Cardinals team. Instead, the Cardinals won a slugfest.
Many experts have questioned Arizona because of their lack of talent on offense. Sure Andre Ellington and Larry Fitzgerald are dynamic players, and rookie John Brown and Michael Floyd are dynamic weapons, but at the end of the day, Carson Palmer is their quarterback and he hasn’t really won anything in his professional career.
Perhaps the best thing about the Cardinals is their ability to win in the trenches and play-calling. Head coach Bruce Arians has done a great job in the first year and a half of his tenure in Arizona.
To prove how good they are, the Cardinals will have tough tests against the Dallas Cowboys on the road, the Detroit Lions at home, and the Seattle Seahawks on the road. Arizona has Super Bowl aspirations after missing out on the postseason last year, despite having a 10-6 record. Arizona is playing excellent football and this game proved that.
This is a signature win for the Cardinals. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if these two teams met down the road in the playoffs.
