Week 9 Matchup: Arizona Cardinals (6-1) vs. Dallas Cowboys (6-2)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 2, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: AT&T Stadium
Line: Dallas (-4.5)
The Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals will meet up in a matchup that has some serious bragging rights on the line. No, this game will not decide who wins the Super Bowl or anything like that, but both teams have great records to say the least, and have been two of the best teams so far this season.
Dallas is coming off an unexpected loss to the Washington Redskins. For what it’s worth, it was the team’s second loss at home, it went into overtime and QB Colt McCoy emerged in a big way. As usual, RB DeMarco Murray went off, rushing for 141 yards. Who knows how Tony Romo‘s back will hold up on a week-by-week basis, but the Cowboys desperately need him on the field no matter what the case. Call last week’s contest a fluke game or whatever you would like, but Dallas now has two losses in 2014.
The Cardinals have now won three games in a row, including a big victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8. If fans still don’t think Arizona is a true playoff contender, then I am at a loss for words. This team is leading the NFC West, which apparently has two Super Bowl contenders in the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.
Regardless, if Romo can play this one pain-free, then the Cowboys’ chances of winning automatically go way up. As good as Arizona has been this year, I have to go with Dallas at home.
PREDICTION: Cardinals 24, Cowboys 30
