Week 9 Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) vs. Houston Texans (4-4)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 2, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: NRG Stadium
Line: Philadelphia (-2.5)
The Philadelphia Eagles may be coming off a loss, but they are still one of the best teams in the NFL. As for the Houston Texans, well, they won in Week 8, and still are in the AFC South race.
Houston will get this one at home, and then it will get a much-deserved bye week next. The Texans really needed a win, as they lost three in a row before their Week 8 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. Not to mention, they did not want to enter the matchup vs. the Eagles on a four-game losing streak. They may still be in the AFC South race, but another loss or two could be the end of that, as the Indianapolis Colts will more than likely not lose many more times in 2014.
Considering the Dallas Cowboys are having a surprisingly good season, Philadelphia cannot afford to lose another game. That is especially true since the Eagles still have to play Dallas twice. Those two games could decide the division.
Philadelphia may take the road in this contest, but they will bounce back after losing the week before. With that said, Houston is no slouch, and going up against J.J. Watt is never an easy thing to do, especially this year.
PREDICTION: Eagles 27, Texans 21
