He’s not the most well-known player in the NFL, but Junior Galette has certainly proven himself a viable pass-rusher in his time with the New Orleans Saints. Galette, who has six sacks on the season, has developed into a special player for the Saints since he began his career, and moving forward, the future is bright for the 26-year-old linebacker. There’s no doubt about it ladies and gentlemen, Galette is a special pass-rushing talent.
A former undrafted free agent, Galette has developed into a huge asset for New Orleans’ defense. With 27.5 sacks since his 2010 rookie season, Galette has started to make a name for himself in the past two years especially. Armed with a wide array of pass-rushing moves as well as good size and strength, Galette has overcome the odds and become a very good player despite going undrafted.
Since he’s not a fantastic athlete, Galette sets himself apart from others by using flawless technique to get by opposing lineman. He never plays with his pads too high and he uses his hands well to swat away at linemen. Galette also has a relentless motor that won’t quit until he brings down the quarterback. Throw in his great work ethic, and it’s easy to see what makes Galette such a valuable part of New Orleans’ defense.
Overall, Junior Galette is a special pass-rushing talent regardless of his lack of notoriety. The young linebacker certainly has a bright future ahead of him with the Saints.
