Mark Ingram Finally Living Up To Expectations For the New Orleans Saints
In his first three NFL seasons, Mark Ingram looked like a total bust for the New Orleans Saints. The former first-round pick battled with injuries and ineffectiveness through the beginning of this career, but things are finally looking up for the young running back. With two 100-yard rushing games under his belt despite missing a considerable amount of time this season, Ingram is finally living up to expectations, and that’s extremely exciting for the Saints’ offense.
Ingram has always had the talent to be a special player, but injuries have prevented him from reaching his potential. It seems every season that Ingram is derailed by some sort of injury, and it was really starting to look like he would never get past his injury history and become a feature back — until now that is. Although he was forced to miss extended time yet again this season, Ingram didn’t let the injury ruin his effectiveness. He came back just as strong in Week 8 as he was early on in the season, and that shows just how far Ingram has come since last season.
With Ingram finally living up to expectations for the Saints, things will really start to open up for the offense. Instead of always having to pass the ball, the Saints finally get a rusher back to add another dimension to the offense. Ingram is finally living up to expectations for New Orleans, and at just 24 years old, he should be a great player for a long time.
