NFL Power Rankings Week 10 (Pre-Monday Night Edition)

For the second-straight week, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw six touchdown passes in a game--which is beyond impressive.
From Roethlisberger's big day to Tom Brady winning the battle against Peyton Manning, here's a look at the 2014 NFL Power Rankings Week 10 (Pre-Monday Night Edition).

Give the Oakland Raiders credit for keeping it close against the Seattle Seahawks considering the tough environment they were playing in, but this team will never win games when Darren McFadden rushes for 20 yards on 13 carries. Let's see if Derek Carr continues to favorite Mychal Rivera as the duo has connected 15 times over the last two games.
31. New York Jets 1-8 (31)

The New York Jets need to realize Michael Vick (21 of 28 for 196 yards with one touchdown) is not the same explosive player from a couple of years ago. The only positive thing to take away from Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs is Percy Harvin and Eric Decker combined for 20 catches.
30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1-7 (30)

It took a while, but Mike Evans finally broke the 100-yard mark (seven catches for 124 yards with two touchdowns) against the Cleveland Browns, but even that wasn't enough for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win. The Buccaneers have now scored less than 20 points in three-straight games.
29. Jacksonville Jaguars 1-8 (29)

Starting Blake Bortles (22 of 33 for 247 yards with two touchdowns and one interception) as a rookie looks like it's going to pay off for the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite Sunday's loss. The team has also seemed to find something special in Dernard Robinson--who has recorded 100-yards from the line of scrimmage in each of the last three games.
28. Tennessee Titans 2-6 (28)
(Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)

(Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)
The Tennessee Titans have scored 17 points or less in each of their last three games and will face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10 after a bye week. In other words, don't be surprised if that unfortunate streak continues for the Titans as this team has one of the league's worst defenses.
27. Atlanta Falcons 2-6 (27)
(Mike Hewitt/Getty Images)

(Mike Hewitt/Getty Images)
It's safe to say no team has been a bigger disappointment this year than the Atlanta Falcons as this team heads into Week 10 with five-straight losses. Lucky for them, the Falcons will face the one-win Buccaneers on Sunday.
26. New York Giants 3-4 (26) (Monday Night)
(Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

If the New York Giants can play like they did against the Dallas Cowboys a few weeks ago, there's no reason why they can't pull off the upset on Monday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts.
25. Chicago Bears 3-5 (24)
(Darren McCollester/Getty Images)

(Darren McCollester/Getty Images)
Who would have thought it would be the Chicago Bears sitting in last place in the NFC North heading into Week 10? With the way their defense has been playing lately, there's a good chance they could get smoked by the Green Bay Packers next weekend considering Aaron Rodgers and company will be looking to bounce back strong following a frustrating Week 8 loss.
24. Houston Texans 4-5 (22)
(Thomas B. Shea/Getty Images)

(Thomas B. Shea/Getty Images)
We've said it before and we'll say it again--the Houston Texans would be one of the top teams in the AFC with any other quarterback than Ryan Fitzpatrick. Arian Foster continues to put up solid numbers for the Texans, but even that hasn't been enough.
23. Washington Redskins 3-6 (21)
(Adam Bettcher/Getty Images)
23. Washington Redskins 3-6 (21)
(Adam Bettcher/Getty Images)
Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings was a game the Washington Redskins should have won and now the hot topic for the next week will be whether or not the team should have kept Colt McCoy at quarterback instead of Robert Griffin III--who completed 18 of 28 passes for 251 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
22. Carolina Panthers 3-5-1 (19)
(Grant Halverson/Getty Images)
22. Carolina Panthers 3-5-1 (19)
(Grant Halverson/Getty Images)
What has happened to the Carolina Panthers since the middle of September? Cam Newton's squad has scored just 36 points over their last three games and now find themselves playing catch up in the NFC South to the New Orleans Saints.
21. Minnesota Vikings 4-5 (25)
(Adam Bettcher/Getty Images)

(Adam Bettcher/Getty Images)
It's amazing how Matt Asiata only records 26 rushing yards on 10 carries--yet he still manages to find the end zone three times against the Redskins. The Minnesota Vikings are finding ways to win without Adrian Peterson, but this team still needs to figure out a way to get Cordarrelle Patterson more involved on offense.
20. Buffalo Bills 5-3 (18)
(Alex Goodlett/Getty Images)
20. Buffalo Bills 5-3 (18)
(Alex Goodlett/Getty Images)
One of the biggest surprises at this point in the season has been the 5-3 Buffalo Bills, but whether or not they can continue their success is a different story. C.J. Spiller is out for the year, but as long as Kyle Orton continues to take advantage of having E.J. Manuel in the passing game--this team can compete for a playoff spot in the AFC.
19. San Francisco 49ers 4-4 (16)
(Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)
19. San Francisco 49ers 4-4 (16)
(Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)
Colin Kaepernick will be kicking himself all week for that goal-line fumble against the St. Louis Rams as this was a game the San Francisco 49ers should have been able to win. At 4-4, things won't get easier for the 49ers in Week 10 with a touch road matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
18. St Louis Rams 3-5 (23)
(Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)

(Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)
Not one, not two, but EIGHT sacks recorded by the St. Louis Rams against Kaepernick on Sunday. This team has looked impressive with big wins against the 49ers and Seattle Seahawks over the last three weeks, but the biggest test of all will come next weekend against the 7-1 Arizona Cardinals.
17. Cleveland Browns 5-3 (20)
(Jason Miller/Getty Images)

(Jason Miller/Getty Images)
The Cleveland Browns continue to be one of the best stories of the 2014 season after improving to 5-3 following a big home win against the Buccaneers. After a shaky start, Brian Hoyer still managed to finish the game with 300 passing yards and two touchdowns to keep the Browns in the AFC North hunt.
16. Baltimore Ravens 5-4 (10)
(Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)

(Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)
After recording five wins in six games, the Baltimore Ravens have now lost two-straight games following an embarrassing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night as the defense was torched by Big Ben. Hopefully, this team can get back on track with a favorable matchup against the Titans next weekend.
15. New Orleans Saints 4-4 (17)
(Grant Halverson/Getty Images)

(Grant Halverson/Getty Images)
It's hard to believe the New Orleans Saints sit in first place in the NFC South with a 4-4 record, but this team now has a chance to determine their own fate in the second half of the season after a shaky start. Luckily, five of the next seven games for the Saints are at home--which could be dangerous.
14. San Diego Chargers 5-4 (5)

(Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)
Remember when the San Diego Chargers were considered the hottest team in the NFL and favorites in the AFC? Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins was so bad, Philip Rivers (three interceptions) was benched in the second half--even though part of the reason was due to a thumb injury.
13. Miami Dolphins 5-3 (15)
(Chris Trotman/Getty Images)

(Chris Trotman/Getty Images)
This may go down as the most impressive win of the season for the Miami Dolphins after shutting out the Chargers 37-0 to pick up their third-straight win. Ryan Tannehill (24 of 34 for 288 yards with three touchdowns) continues to lead this team on offense as the Dolphins look like a team to keep an eye on in the second half of the season when it comes to making a run for a playoff spot.
12. Cincinnati Bengals 5-2-1 (13)
(John Grieshop/Getty Images)

The defense may have fallen apart towards the end of the game, but the Cincinnati Bengals managed to come through against the Jaguars thanks to a strong performance by Jeremy Hill (154 rushing yards with two touchdowns). Andy Dalton also has to be thrilled about having A.J. Green back in the lineup.
11. Kansas City Chiefs 5-3 (11)
(Jamie Squire/Getty Images)

Can you believe the Kansas City Chiefs are 5-3 without one touchdown pass to a wide receiver? Either way, we knew the Chiefs wouldn't have much trouble against the Jets and we should also note Alex Smith has thrown just one interception over his last seven games--which is impressive.
10. Detroit Lions 6-2 (9)
(Jamie McDonald/Getty Images)

If you thought the Detroit Lions were pulling off impressive wins in the first half of the season, just imagine what this team will do on offense once Calvin Johnson returns to the lineup. These next couple weeks will determine whether or not this team is truly contenders in the NFC starting with the Dolphins at home on Sunday.
9. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-3 (12)
(Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)
9. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-3 (12)
(Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)
Can you believe Ben Roethlisberger has thrown 12 touchdown passes over his last two games? The Pittsburgh Steelers have looked like one of the hottest teams in football over the last three weeks and it's time to put Big Ben's name into consideration for the MVP talk.
8. Green Bay Packers 5-3 (8)
(Chris Graythen/Getty Images)

Don't let their last loss against the Saints fool you--the Green Bay Packers are still one of the most dangerous teams in the NFC. Of course, the main concern will be whether or not Aaron Rodgers is actually healthy as this team should bounce back against the Bears in Week 10.
7. Philadelphia Eagles 6-2 (14)
(Bob Levey/Getty Images)

Don't look now, but the Philadelphia Eagles may have to rely on Mark Sanchez for the remainder of the year depending how serious the injury to Nick Foles is. He looked shaky at times, but Sanchez did have his moments against the Texans on Sunday after throwing for 202 yards with two touchdowns.
6. Dallas Cowboys 6-3 (4)
(Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)

(Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)
If there's anything to take away from Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, it would be there's a reason why the Browns parted ways with Branden Weeden this offseason. For the sake of the Dallas Cowboys, let's hope Tony Romo gets healthy really fast as this team has now lost two in a row.
5. Indianapolis Colts 5-3 (6) (Monday Night)
(Joe Sargent/Getty Images)

(Joe Sargent/Getty Images)
After a tough loss to the Steelers in Week 8, the Indianapolis Colts have a favorable matchup against the Giants in the national spotlight. Expect another big game from Andrew Luck and T.Y Hilton.
4. Denver Broncos 6-2 (1)
(Jim Rogash/Getty Images)
4. Denver Broncos 6-2 (1)
(Jim Rogash/Getty Images)
Despite 438 passing yards with two touchdowns, the New England Patriots were just too much for Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. There's only so much Manning can do for the offense, but it's clear the future Hall of Fame quarterback just seems to struggle every time he goes to Foxboro.
3. Seattle Seahawks 5-3 (7)
(Steve Dykes/Getty Images)
3. Seattle Seahawks 5-3 (7)
(Steve Dykes/Getty Images)
For the first time since Week 3, Marshawn Lynch managed to record a rushing touchdown. It may have been closer than they would have liked it to be, but the Seahawks held on for the win against the Raiders to stay close with the Cardinals in the division.
2. New England Patriots 7-2 (3)
(Jim Rogash/Getty Images)
2. New England Patriots 7-2 (3)
(Jim Rogash/Getty Images)
At this point, there's no reason why the New England Patriots shouldn't be considered the favorites in the AFC after making a huge statement against the Broncos with a 43-21 win. Tom Brady now has 16 touchdown passes over his last four games as the Patriots have won five-straight games.
1. Arizona Cardinals 7-1 (2)
(Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

The game would have been different with Tony Romo in the lineup, but the Arizona Cardinals came through with a big road win in Dallas to hang on to the league's best record. Carson Palmer has this team rolling after throwing for three more touchdowns on Sunday.
