Week 10 Matchup: Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) vs. Buffalo Bills (5-3)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 9, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Ralph Wilson Stadium
Line: Kansas City (-2.5)
The Bills and Chiefs both enter Week 10 on winning streaks. Both teams are also still in contention for a playoff spot.
Kansas City has now won three in a row. It is important to note that it has also only allowed 138 points on the year. People cannot forget that the Chiefs have also played teams like the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers. Also, the team has a combined 2-2 record against those teams. As expected, Alex Smith isn’t taking the NFL by storm, but the running game has been solid and the defense has done its part. Taking the NFL by storm or not, Smith only has four interceptions on the year, with three coming in the first game of the season.
The Bills have managed to hold their own. To many people’s surprise, it is QB Kyle Orton who is leading the team to victory. In Week 8 against the New York Jets, Orton threw four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Not bad for a quarterback who many people probably didn’t think they would see on the field this year.
As good as Kansas City has been in 2014, I have to go with the Bills at home in this one. If Sammy Watkins and Orton can have another solid outing, Buffalo very well could move to 6-3 on the season, while keeping pace in the AFC East.
PREDICTION: Chiefs 17, Bills 21
