Week 10 Matchup: Carolina Panthers (3-5-1) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (6-2)
TV Schedule: Monday, Nov. 10, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Stadium: Lincoln Financial Field
Line: Philadelphia (-6)
Although the Carolina Panthers have not won a game since Week 5, they are still in contention in their division. Unfortunately, they will have to go up against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.
Carolina has now lost three games in a row. They tied the game before that streak. With that said, the Panthers have been playing quality teams. However, if a team cannot beat quality teams during the regular season, there is no way it is going to achieve that feat during the playoffs, assuming it makes the playoffs. As if things weren’t looking bad enough entering this one, Carolina will also have to travel on the road.
Philadelphia only enters this one on a one-game win streak, but it has only lost two games in 2014. It will be interesting to see how the Eagles do without Nick Foles, but there is plenty of talent on this team for them to win without him. Easier said than done, but Mark Sanchez has the experience and talent to win football games in Philadelphia.
Whether the case, I am expecting the running game to lead the way for the Eagles in this one, and for them to win their second straight. Carolina might still be in contention for a playoff spot, but it desperately needs some wins right now, which it won’t get in Week 10.
PREDICTION: Panthers 19, Eagles 27
