Brian Bosworth is back in the public eye. Following the release of a 30 for 30 about his controversial football career, it looks like the former linebacker is headed for the courtroom.
According to TMZ, The Boz is set to sue the NFL and helmet-maker Riddell because of concussion-related issues.
Bosworth claims he is currently suffering from headaches and memory loss, and that the NFL concealed the true ramifications of concussions during his playing days in the late 1980s. He also told TMZ that he believes the NFL glorified violent hits in certain films, and that Riddell helmets had a design flaw which led to more head injuries.
The Boz was not part of the giant NFL lawsuit over concussions that was recently settled. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. But as we all know, The Boz plays by his own rules.
Whether you like the guy or not, or if you’ve never heard his story, the 30 for 30 on his career is definitely worth a viewing.
