The New York Jets will be back at home in Week 10, hosting the red-hot Pittsburgh Steelers, who have rolled past the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens in the past two weeks. Ben Roethlisberger is currently on a historic stretch with six touchdown passes in each of the last two games. The Jets’ offense has been a disaster most of the season, but against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, they finally showed signs of life.

In the past few seasons, the Jets have desperately needed talent at the wide receiver position, but signing Eric Decker in the offseason and the mid-season trade to acquire Percy Harvin from the Seattle Seahawks have given the Jets a good duo all of a sudden at WR.

In Week 9, Harvin had his best game of the season with 11 catches for 129 yards, as Michael Vick did a very nice job getting him involved in the offense, which was one of the reasons he was disgruntled in Seattle. Decker was also a big part of the offense, as he caught a season-high nine passes for 63 yards with a touchdown.

With Vick as the starting QB, the Jets’ offense certainly looked better, but a lot of that also has to be factored in to the Jets actually having some weapons for their QB to throw the ball to. Geno Smith did struggle in the first quarter of the game against the Buffalo Bills with both Harvin and Decker on the field, but with that being Harvin’s first game on the Jets, he wasn’t totally up to date with the playbook, and would be hard to think that he is now.

As the Jets’ 1-8 season goes on, it will be interesting to see how dynamic their duo of Harvin and Decker can be at the WR position moving forward.
