The Baltimore Ravens were fantastic in dominating the Titans in every phase of the game. The 21-7 win came at a great time as the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals both lost in Week 10, propelling the Ravens to a share of second place in the AFC North heading into their Week 11 bye. Here are the five biggest takeaways from the Ravens’ Week 10 win.

They didn’t decide the outcome of the game, but the referees certainly had a rough Sunday. There were multiple missed calls, including a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit that concussed Tennessee tight end Delanie Walker and a blatant facemask that resulted in the Ravens’ fourth sack of Zach Mettenberger.

Tennessee should have jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but a fumble on the Baltimore one-yard line denied the Titans an extra touchdown. Baltimore’s front seven settled down in the second half and didn't allow a first down until there were just four minutes left in the game. The Titans moved the chains for the first time since the first quarter on that play.

After a costly fumble in last week’s blowout loss, running back Lorenzo Taliaferro didn’t see the field until the fourth quarter when the game was well in hand. Bernard Pierce received the same treatment at the beginning of the year; John Harbaugh sends a strong message to his ball carriers.

Torrey Smith led the Ravens with eight targets, bring in five passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. Joe Flacco seemed to keep one eye on Smith all game, and the Ravens could really use his services in the coming weeks, as a weak secondary will likely result in shootouts against the New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers.

The front seven was tremendous in pressuring Zach Mettenberger, but the revamped secondary held their own, especially considering the week they had. They played tight coverage even on completed passes and were solid all day. Danny Gorrer shined to begin his second stint with Baltimore, picking off Mettenberger in the fourth quarter to ice the game.
