While the Cincinnati Bengals and the New Orleans Saints enter their Week 11 matchup struggling, it could be a high-scoring, highly entertaining game in the Superdome.
At 4-5, the Saints lead the NFC South, a division no team seems to want to win, but a victory on Sunday would put the Saints in the driver’s seat. The Saints, however, are coming off of a loss against the San Francisco 49ers at home, a place where the Saints never lose. I can’t fathom the Saints losing two games in a row at home. Jimmy Graham finally looked like himself last week while Brandin Cooks continues to develop a strong rapport with Drew Brees, and they even have a running game to rely on. Mark Ingram is in the midst of his most successful NFL season to date.
The Bengals defense is not what it once was. They are allowing 248 yards through the air and 143 yards on the ground. It’s a great matchup for the Saints to finally get back on the winning track.
The Bengals, on the other hand, are coming off an embarrassing loss at home to the Cleveland Browns. Andy Dalton is coming off one of the worst performances of his career. Since their 3-0 start, the Bengals have struggled to gather any sort of momentum, both offensively and defensively. Injuries to A.J. Green and Giovani Bernard have certainly stinted the Bengals growth as an offense. Bernard is expected to miss the Saints game, so that is just one more explosive weapon Dalton will be without.
Everything seems to be set up for a New Orleans victory, and it’s extremely difficult to go against the Saints in New Orleans. It should be a high-scoring game, but the Saints will win 37-27.
