The Lions have had a lot of success drafting over the last few years. A lot of the players contributing to their success this season were not only drafted by Detroit, but they were often drafted in the later rounds. Here's what the future could hold for Detroit's 2015 draft.

Round 1: Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State

Detroit is likely going to move on from Nick Fairley in the offseason, and no one knows what the future holds for Ndamukong Suh. Even if he is back the Lions could use some depth at the DT position. Goldman was a highly-rated recruit who is finally starting to live up to his potential. He could be a steal late in the first round.

Round 2: Nelson Agholor, WR, USC

Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate are great, but the Lions still lack depth at the WR position. Agholor is best suited for the slot and has some good speed and elusiveness. He runs solid routes and has the ability to be special at the next level. The draft is deep at receiver, so Agholor should drop to the second day.

Round 3: Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut

Detroit's secondary is greatly improved, but they could always use some depth. Rashean Mathis isn't getting any younger so adding another young corner into the mix will be a plus for the Lions. Jones is big for a corner at 6-foot-1, 196 pounds and is a very good tackler having started his college career at safety. He is out the rest of the season with a torn labrum which will likely cause him to fall to Round 3.

Round 4: Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon

The Lions' offensive line has not been very good this season, but they've had some injuries. It is still a young, talented group that is just in need of some depth. Fisher is a big left tackle who could eventually compete with Riley Reiff for the starting job. He missed some games this season and Oregon struggled to protect Marcus Mariota in his absence.

Round 5: Arie Kouandjio, OG, Alabama

This is another pick that will add depth to Detroit's offensive line. Kouandjio has a lot of talent but lacks some fundamental skills. He also has had some injury issues in his career. Just based on talent he could be a day one or two pick but will likely fall to the later rounds. His brother Cyrus currently plays in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills.

Round 6: David Johnson, RB, Northern Iowa

Detroit has struggled running the football this season. Part of that is due to the struggling offensive line and part of that is injuries. With Reggie Bush approaching the dreaded running back age of 30, Detroit could use some depth behind Joique Bell and Theo Riddick. Johnson is a big back at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds and has shown great pass catching skills out of the backfield. He would be a steal for Detroit in Round 6.

Round 7: Justin Halley, S, Florida International

Detroit is set for the most part at safety, but you can never have enough depth in the secondary. Halley is a big kid at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds and has had a very good career at FIU. He's a guy who will likely have to impress in a workout to be drafted, but is capable with his size. He would have to make the roster on special teams.
