In his first game with the New York Jets after being traded from Seattle, Percy Harvin got one week to prepare. He was able to get his feet wet, but he even said he was thinking too much about the plays and not playing. We are now one-third of the way through Harvin’s nine-game tryout, a point where fans should expect to see Harvin at his best.
Coming off the bye week, fans should expect to see the Jets along with Harvin reenergized and ready to build upon their Week 10 win as they get ready to face off against the Buffalo Bills. The last time the Jets played the Bills, it was Harvin’s debut game with the Jets, and his limited knowledge of the playbook clearly made it difficult to for him fully utilize his talents. This time around, things could and should be different.
Since his game against the Bills, Harvin has shown some flashes of brilliance like his game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Although it was a losing effort, Harvin was able to bring in 11 catches for 129 yards, along with a 65-yard kickoff return. If he can bring that type of game to Buffalo, the Jets should have a good shot at taking down the 5-5 Bills.
For the Jets, the term revenge has been floating around this game. Their last meeting didn’t exactly go the Jets’ way, and now they seem to be determined to settle the score against Buffalo. If you ask me, Harvin should be their key to success.
