Week 12 Matchup: Baltimore Ravens (6-4) vs. New Orleans Saints (4-6)
TV Schedule: Monday, Nov. 24, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Stadium: Mercedes-Benz Superdome
Line: New Orleans (-3)
The New Orleans Saints will be playing at home this week, which usually means a guaranteed win. However, the Baltimore Ravens are more than capable of pulling off the victory, and the Saints haven’t exactly been perfect in their own house this year.
The Ravens are coming off a bye, are on a one-game win streak and are very much alive when it comes to making the playoffs. Unfortunately, the AFC North is jam-packed, so one loss could essentially drop the team to the bottom of the standings, where they technically are right now.
The Saints are also very much alive when it comes to the playoffs, but they play for a weaker division. For example, New Orleans has a losing record, yet it is tied for the division lead. The team has now lost two games in a row at home, which didn’t really seem possible entering 2014. At the same time, New Orleans did have to play the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals the past two contests.
Although it would be easy to pick against New Orleans in this matchup, it is also hard to predict that the team will lose three in a row at home. Therefore, I am going with the Saints, but this could be an entertaining matchup to say the least.
PREDICTION: Ravens 23, Saints 27
