Jets vs. Vikings NFL Week 14: TV Schedule, Betting Lines, Prediction
Week 14 Matchup: New York Jets (2-10) vs. Minnesota Vikings (5-7)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Dec. 7, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: TCF Bank Stadium
Line: Minnesota (-6)
This contest doesn’t exactly have playoff contenders written all over it, but the Minnesota Vikings still have a slim chance of making the playoffs. With that said, I wouldn’t look into that one too closely because a lot would have to happen for the Vikings to make the playoffs. The New York Jets’ record basically says it all — they are not going to make the playoffs this season.
New York actually looked like it was going to beat the Miami Dolphins in its last game, but that didn’t happen. The Jets ended up losing by three points. That was much better than the previous game, though, where they lost by the score 38-3 against the Buffalo Bills. New York’s best chance of capturing another win will come in Week 15 (plays the Tennessee Titans).
Minnesota needs to win this game. It has three tough opponents to close out the regular season, and very well could lose to all three. The Vikings are coming off a convincing win. In Week 13, they knocked off the Carolina Panthers by the score of 31-13.
Minnesota enters this one with more momentum, it has had the better season so far and it will be playing at home. With that in mind, it is kind of hard to go against the Vikings.
PREDICTION: Jets 13, Vikings 20
