Predicting the Final Score of Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills

Before the season started, Denver Broncos fans probably thought their matchup with the Buffalo Bills would be an easy win, but the Bills are right in the thick of the Wild Card race with their 7-5 record. This game features one of the elite teams in the league against one of the young upstarts, and it could be a pretty interesting matchup.

The Broncos have one of the best offenses in the league led by Peyton Manning and a suddenly resurgent running game. Manning is doing this year what everyone has expected of him, but the scary thing for Broncos opponents is the fact that C.J. Anderson has been running rampant, making this offense that much more dangerous.

The Bills have one of the best defenses in the league as they rank fifth against the pass and seventh against the rush. They are also very good at getting after the quarterback, as they lead the league with 48 sacks through 12 games led by Mario Williams‘ 12.

Buffalo might cause more problems for the Broncos than many teams because of their ability to get sacks. The Broncos’ offensive line has been a little shaky this season as evidenced by their game against the St. Louis Rams. The Broncos’ high-powered offense only scored seven points that game because Manning was uncomfortable in the pocket.

The difference in this game, though, will likely come down to the other side of the ball. While the Broncos’ offense gets all of the credit, their defense is nothing to scoff at. They are No. 2 against the run, No. 10 against the pass and fifth in the league in sacks led by Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware.

If the Bills are going to win this game they are going to need to score points, and that will be very hard to do in Denver. That’s especially the case considering Kyle Orton has been struggling and their best offensive weapon, Sammy Watkins, is not 100 percent healthy.

Both of these teams boast very good defenses which could make this game a low-scoring affair. The Bills will do everything they can to make Manning uncomfortable, and while they might have some success, Manning will be able to easily outscore Orton on Sunday.

Final Score: Broncos 28, Bills 13
