Steelers vs. Bengals NFL Week 14: TV Schedule, Betting Lines, Prediction
Week 14 Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (8-3-1)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Dec. 7, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Paul Brown Stadium
Line: Cincinnati (-3.5)
With just a few weeks left in the regular season, you better believe the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers are battling for a playoff spot.
The only problem is the fact that the Steelers have five losses, while the Bengals only have three — well, a problem for Pittsburgh, that is. Pittsburgh dropped a very costly game to the New Orleans Saints last week. Pittsburgh cannot afford to lose at home this late in the season, especially against a team that tends to struggle away from home.
Although Cincy hasn’t exactly played the best teams in the NFL over the last few games, it is still on a three-game winning streak. With a tough stretch coming up, that is exactly what this team needed. After all, the Bengals will play Pittsburgh (twice), the Denver Broncos and the Cleveland Browns to close out the season. Needless to say, if they make the playoffs, they will have certainly earned their spot. As it stands, Cincinnati is sitting in pretty good shape.
Pittsburgh needs this road victory more than Cincinnati, but that does not mean the Bengals don’t need the victory. This is the NFL, where one game can separate a playoff team from a non-playoff team and a playoff team from a playoff team that gets home-field advantage.
Regardless, the Bengals are winning football games right now and Pittsburgh has lost to some questionable opponents.
PREDICTION: Steelers 17, Bengals 24
