Eli Manning and the struggling New York Giants play the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. The game virtually means nothing, but will determine the futures of many Giants. At this point, the Giants are playing for pride and not to be embarrassed.
The Giants blew a 21-0 lead against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They showed they have nothing left in the tank and are not motivated to play football. With an NFL high 20 players on injured reserve, there’s not much for them to play for. However, not too many people can see Tom Coughlin’s Giants have back-to-back losses against the bottom tier of NFL teams.
Manning will have a very big day in numbers, blowing out the Titans with a couple monster passes to Odell Beckham Jr. Rookie Andre Williams will get his time to shine against a very poor run defense that Tennessee boasts. It’s time for the Giants’ second stringers to start playing their hearts out as a win would calm down the media.
The Titans could defiantly beat the Giants. On paper, the Giants have way too much talent to lose. Manning is not looking to make his resume less and less impressive as the season comes to an end. Even though the Giants have virtually no one to play, they still can stomp the Titans’ defense.
If the Giants do manage to lose a very winnable game like this, some serious changes will be made immediately. This will be the last of the embarrassing games the Giants manage to blow. Whether it’s Manning getting benched or Coughlin stepping down, something serious will happen with a loss.
