Reports surfaced over the weekend that the Chicago Bears may be suffering from buyer’s remorse regarding the contract they gave Jay Cutler, and may be looking to move him this offseason. Cutler’s trade value certainly isn’t what it once was, but with only two guaranteed years left on his contract, there may be some teams interested in bringing the enigmatic quarterback. Here’s a look at 10 teams and legitimate trades that could be considered.

10. Arizona Cardinals

This is an unlikely trade scenario. The Cardinals are on the cusp, but don’t have much at the QB position. Carson Palmer is steadily breaking down, and will be entering 2015 trying to recover from an ACL injury. Drew Stanton doesn’t seem to be the answer, and if Palmer doesn’t appear to be ready by Sept. 1, the Cardinals give Cutler a go. The Bears and Cardinals could swap Stanton and Cutler with the Cardinals, also sending a 4th round pick.

9. Minnesota Vikings

Also highly unlikely is a move to Minnesota. If the Minnesota Vikings want to move Teddy Bridgewater along more slowly (doubtful), perhaps the Bears could entice the Vikings by taking Adrian Peterson and his $47 million off the books with Matt Cassel for Jay Cutler and Matt Forte (free agent after 2015). The Bears could go to the draft to get a future QB and use Cassel as a one season stop gap.

Titans QBs Jake Locker and Charlie Whitehurst can’t play, and Zach Mettenberger is young and shows promise, but perhaps Ken Whisenhunt wants a veteran who is NFL ready. Whisenhunt resurrected Kurt Warner’s career and may think he can get something out of Cutler, where the Vandy product would have a homecoming of sorts. They probably wouldn’t part with Mettenberger, which means trading Cutler for a 2015 3rd rounder and a conditional pick in 2016.

The Raiders could look vastly different in 2015. There will be a new coach, perhaps Jim Harbaugh, and they might be playing in Los Angeles. The Raiders might want to compete immediately, and another year of Derek Carr developing into potentially a QB probably isn’t what eccentric Mark Davis has in mind. The Bears could move Cutler and their 2015 Top-10 pick to the Raiders for their 2015 Top-3 pick and the Bears can make a move at Marcus Mariota.

6. Tampa Bay Buccaneeers

Lovie Smith has had a rotten year in Tampa, but he’s not going anywhere, and perhaps he would want to be reunited with his former QB. Josh McCown has had a terrible season, and the Bucs have two legitimate receiving threats with Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson for Cutler to utilize. The Bears could trade Cutler to Tampa and humorously get Josh McCown back, as well as Tampa’s 2015 second round draft choice.

5. Buffalo Bills

The Bills are another team struggling, because they have a former Bears quarterback (Kyle Orton), which is always a recipe for disaster. The Bills have a strong defense, a good running game (when healthy), and a young threat in Sammy Watkins. Bringing in Cutler could boost the offense and launch them into the playoffs. The Bears could take Kyle Orton back as a one-year rental and draft a QB. Buffalo would also kick in their 2015 2nd round pick.

You never know what the New York Jets are going to do. They have no quarterback, and one would assume they will target Marcus Mariota, but maybe the Jets feel that NY won’t wait to develop another QB and a veteran would be a smarter move. The Bears move Cutler and their 2015 Top-10 pick to the Jets for their Top-3 or Top-4 pick, and again the Bears target Mariota.

The Houston Texans want to win. They are going to just miss out on the playoffs this season, and that is with Ryan Fitzpatrick quarterbacking most games for them. They have Ryan Mallett, but he’s no guarantee. Bill O'Brien might think bringing in Cutler could stabilize the offense and put them into the playoffs in 2015. The Bears would send Cutler for the Texans' 2015 second round pick, as well as a conditional pick in 2016.

Jeff Fisher has the St. Louis Rams playing really well right now. They are hovering around .500, despite Shaun Hill and Austin Davis at the quarterback. Sam Bradford can’t stay healthy, as he missed the entire second half of 2013 and all of 2014; the Rams may want to go in another direction. Bradford has one year left on his deal, and an even swap of Bradford for Cutler could be beneficial for both teams.

This is the most intriguing landing spot for Cutler. Daniel Snyder likes Cutler, as he tried to land him before Cutler came to Chicago, and Robert Griffin III is a debacle right now. Either RGIII or Jay Gruden are going to be gone next year. If it’s RG3, the Bears could take RGIII, the Washington Redskins' 2015 top five pick and a 2016 second rounder for Jay Cutler, and the Bears' Top-10 pick in this year’s draft.
